Copyright policy.

Forge hosts pages, images, fonts, videos and documents that our users upload. We respect copyright, and we expect our users to upload only material they own or have permission to use. If you think something on Forge infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act on it quickly.

1. Reporting infringement

Email our designated copyright agent at support@forge.page with the subject “Copyright notice”. To be valid, a notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough), as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
2. A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
3. The web address (URL) of each page on Forge where the material appears, and what the material is, so we can find it.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. §512(f)).

2. What we do with a notice

When we receive a valid notice, we remove the material or disable access to it promptly, and we tell the user who uploaded it, including a copy of the notice (with your personal contact details removed unless the law requires otherwise).

3. Counter-notices

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the US, any judicial district in which Forge may be found), and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice.

We will forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have started court action, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we received the counter-notice.

4. Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. An account that is the subject of valid notices on three separate occasions, not successfully countered, will be closed, and we may close an account sooner for a clear or serious infringement.
